The moment I saw this Dior ad, it instantly reminded me of an elusive yet eternal L'année Dernière à Marienbad, or Last Year At Marienbad.
I can easily see one of the above characters being Sacha Pitoëff's character, maintaining serene face while mercilessly beating his opponents with his card puzzle.
And although the wardrobes for the movie were designed by Coco Chanel herself, The Essentialist created a sample of what could look like a mysterious yet intriguing Dior campaign.

Theirs reminds me of clips or cd covers from the 80s.
